Rockin Roly Poly is as much a self-esteem book, as it is a fun adventure for children. Roly Polys, as bugs go, are careful yet brave. When scared, they roll into a ball
much like our children. Once roly polys decide there is no danger, they unfold and move on to the next adventure.
One message of the book is that being a little scared sometimes (like trying a new sport, or meeting a new friend, or going to a new place) is okay. God, through Nature, shows us that this is okay
in fact, not just okay, but understandable and many times necessary.
The underlying theme of Rockin Roly Poly is the connection of children to the adventure, simplicity and sacredness found in everyday life
right under our feet!
Rockin Roly Poly celebrates God as a main character in not only the story, but in everyday life
right under our feet.
